Royal Kendal is a pottery brand established in 1975. The founders, Hudson and Middleton, established Alma Works in the 19th century. Later, Middleton launched Delphine Pottery, and Hudson inherited Alma Works. Alma Works changed its name to Sutherland Pottery. Their descendants then rejoined the company in 1941, and the company began a new journey as Royal Kendal.
