Royal Doulton was founded by John Doulton in 1815, and was allowed to use the "Royal" prefix in 1901. It is still known as the official brand of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles. This Christmas plate was made in 1979 and features a white relief around the picture of a Christmas tree and children, further enhancing the Christmas mood.
