Royal Albert is a long-established brand founded in 1896 by father and son Thomas Wilde. The founder loved the British Royal Family so much that he named the brand "Albert" after Queen Victoria's husband, Prince Albert, and their grandson, Prince Albert George. The year after the company was founded, it was commissioned to create a commemorative item for the 60th anniversary of Queen Victoria's accession to the throne, and in 1904 it was given the title "Royal", and the brand continues to be loved around the world as "the most British tableware used by the Royal Family".
This Serena series was produced from 1945 to 1977. The design is striking, with large, colorful roses, the national flower of England, scattered throughout, and exudes beauty and elegance. The edges are hand-painted with 22K gold, making this an exceptional piece that will captivate anyone who holds it in their hands. This piece is also engraved with the old mark, making it a rare gem.
