Royal Albert is a long-established brand founded in 1896 by father and son Thomas Wilde. The founder loved the British Royal Family so much that he named the brand "Albert" after Queen Victoria's husband, Prince Albert, and their grandson, Prince Albert George. The year after the company was founded, it was commissioned to create a commemorative item for the 60th anniversary of Queen Victoria's accession to the throne, and in 1904 it was given the title "Royal", and the brand continues to be loved around the world as "the most British tableware used by the Royal Family".
The Old Country Rose series is based on the beautiful roses, the national flower of England, which was introduced in 1962. The delicateness of the roses and the gorgeousness of the gold coloring are its main attractions and are loved by many people. This is a representative series of Royal Albert, which has produced over 100 million pieces worldwide to date, and is a popular item all over the world.
