Royal Albert is a long-established brand founded in 1896 by father and son Thomas Wilde. The founder loved the British Royal Family so much that he named the brand "Albert" after Queen Victoria's husband, Prince Albert, and their grandson, Prince Albert George. The year after the company was founded, it was commissioned to create a commemorative item for the 60th anniversary of Queen Victoria's accession to the throne, and in 1904 it was granted the title of "Royal". The company continues to be loved around the world as "the most British tableware used by the Royal Family."
The Lavender Rose series was named by the founder in homage to the British Royal Family, and features a design of pink roses and lavender leaves. The elegant and lovely design with its wavy edges and refined design was loved by many people, and it was produced for a long period from 1961 to 2009. It is a best-selling series that still fascinates collectors around the world and tells the story of Royal Albert's long history.
