Royal Albert is a long-established brand founded in 1896 by father and son Thomas Wilde. The founder loved the British Royal Family so much that he named the brand "Albert" after Queen Victoria's husband, Prince Albert, and their grandson, Prince Albert George. The year after the company was founded, it was asked to create a commemorative item for the 60th anniversary of Queen Victoria's accession to the throne, and in 1904 it was given the title "Royal", and continues to be loved around the world as "the most British tableware used by the Royal Family".
The Lady Carlyleseries features the 18th century Rococo style, which is one of its luxurious features. It is decorated with large roses and gold scroll patterns, and accented with small flowers such as bluebells and forget-me-nots.
