Richard Ginori is an Italian ceramics manufacturer founded in 1735 by Marquis Carlo Ginori in Doccia near Florence. Known for its excellent design and high-quality products, it is characterized by its intricate painting and unique decoration. It continues to inherit the Renaissance art and Italian traditions cultivated over its long history to the present day, attracting fans from all over the world. It is currently expanding internationally under the umbrella of Gucci.
The Italian Fruit series is one of Ginori's signature series, and is said to have originated in the 1760s when it was designed for use in the villas of Tuscan aristocrats . The piece is decorated with purple-blue plums, fruits and small flowers, all grown under the beautiful sunshine and the great outdoors of Tuscany, and features an exquisite harmony of gold and blue lines. It features a typical Rococo style shape called Antico Doccia, which gives a sense of Ginori's history. Another way to enjoy it is that no two pieces are exactly the same, as they are hand-painted by artisans.
