Noritake is a Japanese ceramics company founded in 1904, known for its high-quality tableware and ceramic products. It first found success in the American market and is now recognized worldwide. From the beginning, Noritake has focused on creating white ceramics, and in 1914, they made Japan's first dinner set using "white hard porcelain." In 1932, they developed Japan's first "bone china," and products using these materials became their main line. Today, Noritake is still highly regarded for combining tradition and innovation in its products.
This item is part of Noritake's top-level Diamond Collection, which was created in 1979 to celebrate Noritake's 75th anniversary and was sold until it was discontinued in 2000. The design features a colorful bird surrounded by flowers, with a navy blue band on top of world-class white porcelain. Gold accents are added throughout, giving it a refined look. This is a high-end piece showing Noritake's finest materials and craftsmanship, but since it's discontinued, it's now a rare and hard-to-find item.
