FINE BONE CHINA
Minton was founded in 1793 by copperplate engraver Thomas Minton. At the 1851 Great Exhibition in London, the brand was praised as "the most beautiful bone china in the world" and became a supplier to the British Royal Family. In particular, "Haddon Hall," designed with the motif of the tapestries of Haddon Hall Castle, became a bestseller. It was later absorbed by Royal Doulton in 1968, and came under the umbrella of Wedgwood in 2005. The brand has now been discontinued, so existing items are considered extremely valuable.
This Spring Valley series is designed with a wavy surface called the "Fife Shape", and the soft and natural colors of Spring Valley were born from the use of colors by watercolor artist John Denison. The delicately drawn floral motifs such as buttercups, gentians, and forget-me-nots give it a clean impression and a warm spring-like design.
These items were mainly produced between the 1970s and 1990s, and are masterpieces created using Minton's high level of craftsmanship and traditional methods, perfect for creating an elegant space.
