Coalport is a ceramic manufacturer founded in 1795 by John Rose in the village of Coalport in Shropshire, England. The backstamp also states 1750, as the predecessor, Carfrae Pottery, was established in 1750. Coalport is known for its high-quality bone china, and established an international reputation in the 19th century. It merged with the California Ceramics Company in 1891, and was acquired by Wedgwood in 1950, and its reputation and tradition continue to this day.
The Hazelton series is an eye-catching masterpiece with a chic wine red background and glittering gold paint on the delicate grape berries and flowers. Please enjoy an elegant moment with this cup and saucer.
