Coalport is a porcelain manufacturer founded in 1795 by John Rose in the village of Coalport in Shropshire, England. The backstamp reads 1750, as its predecessor, Carfraeigh Pottery, was established in 1750. Coalport is known for its high-quality bone china, and established an international reputation in the 19th century. It merged with the California Ceramics Company in 1891, and was acquired by Wedgwood in 1950, and its reputation and tradition continue to this day.
The Hazleton series is an eye-catching masterpiece with a chic cobalt blue and glittering gold paint on which grapes and flowers are delicately painted. Enjoy an elegant moment with this cup and saucer.
